Nature of our products

The Shine Story sells imitation, artificial, and fashion jewellery.

Unless expressly mentioned in the product description:

• Products are not made of solid gold, silver, platinum, or another precious metal.

• Stones and pearls are not natural precious stones or natural pearls.

• Gold-tone and silver-tone descriptions refer to colour or finish, not metal purity.

• Product value should not be interpreted as investment value.

• Hallmarking should not be assumed unless specifically stated and applicable.

Customers should read each product description carefully before purchasing.

Product descriptions and appearance

We make reasonable efforts to accurately display product design, colour, size, material, plating, and finish.

Actual appearance may vary slightly due to:

• Screen and display settings

• Photography and lighting

• Production batches

• Hand-finishing

• Individual stone, bead, or component placement

Photographs may include styling props that are not included with the product. The order will contain only the items specified in the product title and description.

Orders and acceptance

Placing an order does not guarantee acceptance. We may decline or cancel an order because of:

• Stock unavailability

• Payment failure

• Suspected fraud or misuse

• An unserviceable address

• Quantity restrictions

• A product, pricing, or listing error

• Circumstances outside our reasonable control

If an accepted prepaid order is cancelled by us, the eligible amount will be refunded.

Pricing and payment

Prices are displayed in Indian rupees unless otherwise stated.

Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and cash-on-delivery fees will be included or shown before checkout, as required.

If an obvious pricing or listing error occurs, we may correct it and contact affected customers with appropriate options, including cancellation and refund where applicable.

Promotions

Promotions, discounts, and coupon codes are subject to their stated conditions, duration, and stock availability.

Unless otherwise stated:

• Only one discount may be used per order.

• Discounts cannot be applied after an order is placed.

• Promotional benefits cannot be exchanged for cash.

• Returned items may no longer qualify for promotional benefits.

• Free gifts must be returned if the qualifying purchase is returned in full.

We may refuse promotional benefits affected by manipulation, fraud, or an obvious error.

Intellectual property

The Shine Story name, logo, original photographs, product descriptions, graphics, packaging artwork, and other original brand materials belong to or are licensed to us.

They may not be copied, reproduced, republished, resold, or commercially exploited without written permission.

Customer reviews and photographs

If a customer voluntarily submits a review, photograph, video, testimonial, or social-media content for publication, the customer confirms that they have the right to share it.

The customer gives The Shine Story non-exclusive permission to display or use the submitted material for store and marketing purposes unless permission is withdrawn where applicable.

We may remove content that is unlawful, abusive, fraudulent, misleading, irrelevant, or infringes another person’s rights. Genuine critical reviews will not be removed merely because they are negative.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these terms limits a customer right or business liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, The Shine Story is not responsible for:

• Damage caused by improper use or storage

• Normal tarnishing or fading of imitation jewellery

• Individual allergic or skin reactions where materials were not misrepresented

• Indirect or unforeseeable losses

• Delivery delays outside our reasonable control

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India.

Customers are encouraged to contact us first so we can attempt to resolve concerns fairly. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and applicable jurisdiction, disputes will be dealt with by competent courts.
